Lines and markings of the everyday seem superfluous, yet they control our movements and spaces with little conscious thought on our part.

Each line seemingly has little or no significance — however these lines and markings are public notations and enforce ‘a gather here’ and ‘a gather there’, where body-in-space movement is delineated, boxed and parameter-ised as required.

This floor-based work sourced road and street markings from around the world, compiled together to form another set of markings in the gallery — resulting in body movement control within the gallery space.
